Dennis Levinson, Producer - Promoter - Agent, has produced the successful "Playboy's Girls of Rock-n-Roll" at the Maxim Hotel Casino and many other hit shows in the casino market. He is a former ace drummer who has made the transition into the business world not necessarily by accident.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Dennis picked up drum sticks at such an early age that he was playing professionally at thirteen. He attended Adelphi University and moved with his family to California in 1965; continuing his education at Valley State (now Cal State Northridge) receiving a B.S. in Business Administration. Dennis also attended Valley College of Law in Mission Hills.
Dennis joined the Bernie Richards Orchestra, playing for Hollywood elite at private parties and other social functions. His film credits include playing drums on the soundtracks of films "Shampoo" and "Gable and Lombard"
In 1971, he formed D&E Enterprises, Ltd; a full service Theatrical Agency specializing in Top 40 Lounge Acts and Show and Dance Bands. Dennis had up to 25 Bands and Acts working on a full-time basis and booked all the talent in Southern California for the Red Lion/Thunderbird Inn Hotel Chain based in Portland, Oregon. Also booking most of the entertainment at La Costa, California (a World Class AAA rated Resort and Health Spa). He began packaging, producing and booking entertainment attractions specializing in shows that are custom made for the casino market. He was the Agent for "Excitement 79"; "Best of Burlesque"; "Rock 25" and the "Legends" shows. Dennis travels between Southern California and Las Vegas as well as to hot-spots around the globe.
Dennis' first Las Vegas presentation was "Salute to the Fifties" at the Tropicana Hotel Casino and has produced or co-produced such fine shows as Beatles tribute "Liverpool"; "Breakdance Fever"; "Cotton Club On Parade"; "Tropical Heat"; "Heatwave"; and Country Fever". Dennis had the unique experience of buying acts for hotel chains. He was the Entertainment Buyer for the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel. He has produced numerous shows from a cast size of ten to thirty on stage.
Dennis has produced record albums and a successful television show, "Las Vegas Cast Party", seen in Las Vegas on ABC Network KVVU TV 5 and 13. The show was a fast paced "Live" interview show featuring party-atmosphere segments wrapped around a current film. The show ran over three years in Las Vegas. Dennis was also the Entertainment Director for the Sands and Dunes Hotel Casinos.
In addition, Dennis has produced Name Act shows at; Harvey's, Lake Tahoe; The Dunes, Las Vegas; Sands, Las Vegas; The Eldorado, Reno and Station Casinos, Las Vegas. Some of the stars he has produced are Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, The Gap Band, Sha Na Na, Al Hirt, Peter Nero, Viki Carr, Mary Wilson and Michael Martin Murphy just to name a few.
